Working on a New Design

In my thought to do a makeover in this blog -- making it both a place with articles a couple of times a week (hopefully -- depending on exactly what we have submitted, though we do have articles now), as well as being the home of the blog roll, I thought it was important to have a little bit of an actual visual makeover too.

I'm still in the midst of doing this though, but have to step away from the computer. I will keep working on it, and hope to have it all finished up by Thursday night!

New Blog Roll Members - March 5th

I'm so excited that Blogrolling.com is finally back up and running! Because of this, I have been able to add so many people that have been waiting to be added to the roll for many months! (Those that were signed up before I had to close down sign ups.)

On a quick note, Blogrolling.com is now putting an ad bar at the top of the webpage each time you click through a link on a blog roll. However, the ads can be removed if a $20/year subscription fee is paid. I am hoping that some people might find it in this hearts to donate at least a portion of this money. There is a link in the sidebar now to donate through Paypal. I know money is tight for everyone right now, but even a couple of dollars would help!

Sign Ups Open Again!

We are so excited that blogrolling.com is back up and running! I've been busy adding and deleting blogs today.

Because blogrolling.com is back up, we have opened sign ups back up!

Also -- watch for big changes here! My goal is to not have this be just the hub for the blog roll, but to possibly publish a couple of posts per week about Catholic topics. Anything from attending adoration to how to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with your kiddos.

Here's the thing about these posts, I don't want to write them all. I thought it would be so much better to have a steady stream of guest posts. I'm hoping that it can work out. If you are interested in guest writing about a Catholic topic here at Catholic Mothers Online, please drop me an email! It can even be something republished from your own blog!

Oh, and one more thing! Watch for a new blog design over the next few weeks! I'm pretty darn excited about that!

We are gearing back up by going through the list!

I have two helpers now (yeh! -- I'll introduce them soon) to help me go through the blog roll every so often to check on the status of blogs on the roll. They are checking and reporting back to me about blogs that need to be removed (according to the guidelines for joining).

Please remember that if your blog meets any of these criteria, it may be removed from the Blog Roll as soon as blogrolling.com is back up and running:

1. No longer has the Catholic Mothers Online blog roll installed somewhere on their blog. (We do check sidebars, footers, and if you have a separate page listed for "blog rolls.")

2. Blog no longer exists.

3. The blog has become a private blog.

4. Material on your blog is no longer appropriate (e.g. adult content or adult ads -- objectionable material).

5. Your blog hasn't been updated in several months.

Of course, if you are ever removed, you may request again to join if the issue has been resolved.
